ABC example: UK stock - Xstrata Plc (XTA)

This is another example of how simple it is to identify the end of an ABC correction for a potential trade set-up using the MTPredictor software.

Once the daily XTA chart was drawn, just select the Type 1, 2, C button and click 'Show':

The software will analyze the last part of the current chart to check whether an automatic trade set-ups is present. Please see the chart below:

As can be seen from the above chart, the software automatically identified a potential Wave C sell set-up, where the details are displayed on the chart for you:

The potential ABC corrective high
The corresponding minimum Wave C WPT resistance area (in orange ) and
The sell reversal bar in red (the last bar in the above chart).

A couple of quick, simple mouse clicks identified a potential short trade...

But the analysis does not finish here. This module has automatically analyzed the potential trade set-up, and projected potential profit targets on the chart. The exact details of these are also calculated:

Even before entering the trade, all the information is at hand to make an informed decision about how good a risk this trade set-up may be. On XTA, the potential profit at the first projected profit target area (which, here, is the larger-degree minimum Wave C) would be approximately 4.2x the initial $ risk (ignoring slippage and commission). As such, this is a good trade to consider.

As can be seen from the chart above, XTA declined swiftly off the Mar 4 high. In fact, XTA continued down into the first projected profit target (the larger-degree minimum Wave C WPT - as projected by the software on Mar 4). This was a good time to start protecting profits on the trade. As seen in the chart, XTA reversed sharply from this area, leaving the projected profit target as the best pace to take profits.
